This short film looks at innovative solutions to create more affordable housing in San Mateo County and visits three sites that used under-utilized and and creative financing

• The San Mateo County Community College District: use of public land to build workforce housing
• Half Moon Village: multi-jurisdiction land swap and partnership with the San Mateo County Health System to create a senior housing campus in Half Moon Bay
• Habitat for Humanity and the City of Redwood City: public/private partnership to build ownership housing on a small and challenging العاب لعبة الحب infill site

HEART First Time Homebuyer Program

Mark Nagales grew up in South San Francisco and got his start in community involvement when he took Gen Mullin’s government class at South San Francisco High School. Today he is a senior aide to Congresswoman Jackie Speier, working in the San Mateo office. He, his wife Amy, and their four year old son had been sharing a one-bedroom apartment, until they had to move. “The HEART program wa the only option in the County for us and it worked beautifully.
