HEART has selected OpenScope Studio as the design firm for the GLADUR ADU Program
HEART is pleased to announce that after a thorough RFP process, we are partnering with OpenScope Studio to design our free green ADU plans
HEART’s GLADUR Program will make it easier and less expensive for homeowners to plan, design, obtain permits, and ultimately build a green ADU on their property. By creating designs and construction drawings ourselves, and then making them available to the public for free, this program will save the homeowner thousands of dollars, which they can reinvest in energy-saving features, space-saving amenities and green building materials.
HEART released an RFP in May 2019 to find qualified architects and designers interested in contracting with HEART to prepare the designs. Through this process, HEART has selected OpenScope Studio as the design firm.
OpenScope Studio brings in extensive knowledge and experience in ADU design and policies. They have not only designed ADUs, but also helped create the City of San Francisco’s ADU Handbook and are currently helping the City of Oakland on their ADU policy as well.
We look forward to working with OpenScope Studio to create amazing green ADU designs that make housing more affordable in San Mateo County. Visit our ADU website heartofsmcadu.org for up-to-date progress and information.
